Building a home can be daunting. It’s sometimes hard to even know where to begin. That’s why we’ve developed an easier way to get your dream project built. Our ready-to-build architectural homes are simple to design and build. Using these 6 steps, you will own a sustainable, high-performance home, designed to your liking in half the time you expected.
1. Choose a model: Base 1 or Base 1+, two homes that use the same panel system. The Base 1 is geared towards the creative escapists who live for the outdoors and for those who just want hassle-free weekend retreats. The Base 1+ might be better suited for modern families looking to escape the city or for those who just need a little more space. No matter your lifestyle goals, we are here to help you achieve them.
2. Choose your design: Pre-developed palettes, materials and finishes fully resolved. All you have to do is select the options that feel like you, using our design tool from the comfort of your couch. We will walk you through every choice during our design meeting.
3. Your Base Build System: We prepare a service package for you priced according to your design choices. The system includes a Base-certified builder you can trust. We’ve vetted the right builders for the job, who know our system and have the same uncompromising approach to building high-performance homes.
4. Production begins: Your home’s wall panels are manufactured in the shop while the foundation goes in on your land. Working on both at the same time is one of the biggest time savers in the whole project, and it’s only possible because every detail was resolved before production started.
5. Construction begins: Your certified builder assembles your home on site, following our build-ready documents. Base coordinates the key milestones and checks the ones that protect the system’s integrity, airtightness above all. You always know where your project stands and who to call.
6. Move in: Before handing over the keys, we test your home for airtightness to confirm it performs as designed. All that’s left is to unpack, make a coffee, and settle in. A comfortable, quiet, healthy home, in every season.
